We started a new project with the Insular Water Council CIATF in one of its Desalination Plants.

In the coming months we will install a 446kWk photovoltaic plant at the Desalination Plant of Abona, located in Granadilla. This plant will consist of several zones, two on the ground and one on the roof:

  • Orchard area, investors 5, 6 and 7 as you enter the garden area on the left.Maintained with the technical solution of the project and the large solar blocks. 95 units.

  • Expansion floor area, inverters 3 and 4: The plates are executed with Solar block 15º of cover and 1 ballast. The project ones are not used. An HA 20 slab with electro welded mesh Ø 10 c/20cms of approximate dimensions 25*18*0,10m (check) is executed. The solar blocks are adhered to this slab with stone adhesive. The arrangement of the slabs will be the same as for the roof, with 16 slabs aligned vertically. 136 small 15º plus rectangular ballasts 100x18x10 cm of 42kg.

  • Covered area, inverters 1 and 2: TPO is mounted.

    • Solar Bloc of 10º is mounted, with 1 ballast of 46 kilos per unit. 476 units of 10º.
    • Solar bloc elements adhere to each other, but do not adhere to the TPO membrane.
    • Fewer anchorages than planned are executed: two anchorages for each 4 solar block, which will be connected at the top with galvanized steel profiles. I am thinking of an angle bracket with a vertical section that works as an edge beam, horizontal section to adhere (adhesive for stone material) to the solar block, L or U section.

Energía Aeterna will carry out this emblematic work to supply part of the large energy consumption of this desalination plant.
